Naila Kiani Summits 11th Peak Over 8,000 Meters – Record-Breaking Climb
Naila Kiani, a Pakistani mountaineer, has achieved a remarkable feat. By reaching the summit of Nepal’s Makalu Peak, the world’s fifth-highest mountain, she became the first Pakistani woman to conquer 11 mountains exceeding 8,000 meters in height.
A Challenging Ascent
Makalu Peak, known for its steep slopes and dangerous ridges, presented a significant challenge for Kiani’s expedition team. Despite harsh weather conditions, the team successfully reached the top on Sunday morning and is now safely descending.

This achievement makes Kiani not only the first Pakistani woman but also the fastest climber, male or female, from Pakistan to summit 11 such peaks. She accomplished this incredible feat in less than three years.
