Islamabad: The Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC), a department under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, plans to send around 100 female nurses to a healthcare company in Malaysia.
An official stated on Thursday that the demand for female nursing staff in Malaysia is increasing due to the high-quality and expert Pakistani nurses already working in various Malaysian hospitals.
The OEC has announced that job seekers can apply for positions in Malaysia, provided they meet the prescribed qualifications and experience.
The official mentioned that 100 nurses are needed for ICU roles, requiring either a diploma in nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or a Post RN from a recognized institution. Candidates must be registered with the Nursing Council and have at least three years of relevant experience in a hospital setting.
Specialized post-basic training in OT/ICU and pediatrics will be preferred, with an age limit of 45 years. The basic monthly salary ranges from RM3,000 to RM4,500.
The healthcare firm will provide additional allowances, including a general nursing allowance for pediatric nurses and specialized allowances for ICU and OT nurses. These allowances include RM1,100 for specialization, RM700 for general nursing, RM400 for a degree, and RM800 for post-basic training.
The official also shared the terms and conditions of the employment contract. Salaries of confirmed employees will be reviewed annually in March, based on individual performance and market salary trends, with salary increments backdated to January.
Employees will receive a one-month bonus for every year of service upon completing the contract period, with the bonus payable upon the completion of a two-year contract.
