Choose the examination before choosing a PDF

KPPSC maintains separate syllabus and past-paper directories. Its syllabus page lists tracks such as PMS, PMS/AETO screening, DSP, SI, ASI, judicial competitive examinations and other services. Start with your exact examination and stage. A screening-test outline, a full competitive written syllabus and a post-specific ability-test notice can have different requirements; the shared word “PMS” or “ASI” is not enough to identify the correct document.

How to find the official resources

The official-source button opens KPPSC’s Competitive Examination’s Past Papers directory. It is organized by year and examination, with entries including PMS papers and PMS & AETO 2025, along with ASI, judicial and other tracks. For the syllabus, use the commission website’s Syllabus for Competitive Examination link. Record the title, version/year, your advertisement reference and the date you checked each resource. Prefer the commission’s file over a renamed PDF forwarded in a messaging group.

Turn the syllabus into a working checklist

List the subjects and topics in the applicable official syllabus. Add a column for material you have read, questions attempted and topics that still need work. Keep screening and written preparation separate where the official documents do so. Read later official amendments before using an old statement about marks, passing thresholds or optional subjects. This checklist is a planning tool; it does not alter the commission’s rules.

Use one paper as a diagnostic

Attempt one relevant past paper before buying more material. Use its printed instructions and timing, then mark the topics you could not answer or explain. Map those gaps back to the current syllabus. For written answers, review structure, evidence and clarity; for objective questions, review why each wrong option was wrong. Use reliable references to check answers rather than assuming an unofficial answer key is correct. A past paper is practice evidence, not a guarantee of repeated questions.

A simple weekly study cycle

As a suggested routine, begin with one diagnostic session, use several focused sessions to revise the weakest syllabus areas, and finish with another timed exercise and an error review. Adjust the workload to your examination date and available hours. Keep an error log containing the topic, the mistake and the correction. Revisit the same weakness in a later session instead of measuring progress only by the number of PDFs downloaded.

Keep a clean source folder

Save files with the examination, paper and year in their names. Keep older papers separate from the current syllabus so an outdated rule is not mistaken for a live instruction. Check the commission’s schedule and call-letter sections separately for exam logistics. The archive’s existence does not mean a recruitment round is open. This guide links to official resources; it does not sell notes, reproduce entire past-paper collections, or promise selection.
